The series of paintings are inspired by a visit to a pre-historic site called Gudiyam Caves, near Thiruvallur, Tamilnadu. The elliptical stones are the stone tools used by early man and symbolically represent the Stone Age. In contrast, it shows a telephone booth, representing our evolution from users of crude stone tools to sophisticated instruments like telephones, cell phones, which have become as common as the stone tools of the pre-historic centuries.
