Anuradha Thakur

Festive Rhythm 13

first first first first first
Anuradha's tryst with art started from her childhood days, which metamorphosed into matured paintings in later years.  Her paintings depict the lifestyle of Adivasi women. The abstract feeling like love, living together, openness in relationships, transparent communication, respect to women and rhythm in the life of tribals have been beautifully highlighted by her in her works. Anuradha has portrayed women with respect and dignity, without necessarily revealing them. The use of simple perfect lines and the black and white colours in her paintings clearly emphasize the transparency, clarity, their simple needs, contentment, faith and also expresses the depth and harmony in the life of the "Adivasis". Hence these colours and lines complement the subject thoroughly.
