The painting depicts artist’s impression of a woman returning back home from working all day in a bamboo grove. The green and yellow tribal shawl embraces her body which is a sign of comfort in the extreme cold. The bamboo horizontally bisecting the woman’s body represents two phases of her life – the working life and the family life. Though the woman earns her living working at the bamboo grove but the bamboo is a villain in her life as the work at the bamboo grove doesn’t give her enough time for her little child at home.
