Bratin Khan
About
Bratin khan was born in 1969 in Kolkata. He now lives and works in Kolkata. He is a Bengali artist, whose line and color is stimulated from his training at Shantinikentan. he is intrinsically influenced by Indian mythology and religious conviction. Education & Work
In 1993, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from Visva Bharati University, Santiniketan in Kolkata.
His paintings magnificently emanate a ray of light that emerges from within. His figures are relaxing and flow graciously with the overall representation of the natural surroundings that they impede. Khan primarily entices his subjects from the wide base of Indian mythology, religion and legends. With eye for rich detailing and laudable mastery of line make, he is been so far able to represent exceptional panache.

Awards and Accolades
He had been bestowed with Award for Best Painting from Indian Society of Oriental Art & Culture, Kolkata, in 1992. Apart from this, Bratin khan was also a recipient of annual merit award ViswaBharati University, Santiniketan, consecutively for three years, that is1991, 92 and 93.
