Mamta Chaturvedi

Khajuraho-2

Khajuraho-2 772
In her Khajuraho series, Mamta has portrayed the sculptures of Khajuraho (one of the best examples of ancient temples in India). Adorned by exquisite erotic sculptures, Khajurao has been an enigma to tourists. The common belief is that the temple sculptures depict various facets of everyday life such as people working, listening to teachers, playing music, waging battles, and engaging in sexual activity. It depicts that the ancient people took a healthy view of things and gave sex its requisite place in life.
